Title: Rednecks at the Movies
Post by: Brian D. Bray on November 27, 2008, 05:45:27 pm
Overheard at a preview of a Martial Arts Movie:

"Wow, did you see that, he caught the bullet!"
"Big deal, the bullet was in slow motion.  Even I can catch a bullet travelling in slow motion!"

"Jah ever notice that Daisy Duke looks a lot like that Singer Lady...Jessica Simpson.  I wonder if they're related."

Now that you mention it.... There is this gal on that movie "Employee of the Month" that looks a lot like Jessica Simpson.

Do any of you remember the old Ma and Pa Kettle movies?
Every time I think of Rednecks and movies I think of the Kettles.
I recently bought the book "The Egg & I" that the Kettles were exerpted from.  The story is about a husband and wife (Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed?) who start and egg farm on the Olympic Pennisela near Port Angeles.  There is one scene where Ma kettle is taking to the woman who wrote the story while setting in an outhouse without a door on it.  The scene even made it into the movie.
