Schawee pulled them combs out yeah. We had fun as usual and the bees were just downright gentle, but I say I saw the queen first!
Schawee begs to differ! :-D

Another great cutout, with the help of a great parasol!
-
That was a nice cut out and glad to know Schawee can talk!! :-D :-D
How come Schawee has not taken the initiation yet!!
You two are having too much fun, wish I could do a cut out with you one day!
What kind of a deep box is that, looks to be put together with pocket screws.
Very nice video, and thanks for sharing as always.
I vote Schawee found the queen first!!

What a couple of HAM'S is Schawee going to join our club :? Great video you two.
-
great video , entertaining and educational. as well as funny moments.

The videos are great. JP, you need to put Schawee on the payroll. I liked that hive box also.

Two thumbs up, again.
Love how you are incorporating the 'parasol' into your work. Watch out Laurel and Hardy, there are new kids on the block. :-D

LOL, I just couldn't stop laughing when you brought out the umbrella that annette gave you. Yes Irwin is right you two are a bunch of Ham's.
-
The funniest part was when Schawee was "playing" with the umbrella by himself. :lau:
JP caught him with it. That was hysterical!!
Officially this is a parasol, but I do declare from this day forward, the red umbrella is indeed an "umbrella".
Great video once again. I shared it with my beekeeping buddies out here.

JP, what type of saw or cutting tool is that you use?
-

The umbrella is definitely more exciting than I am. I think I have umbrella envy :-D

From Webster's: Parasol envy; Watching Jp and Schawee sit and work in the shade while you have to make do with an umbrella from a pina collada. Oh well, at least I got a little buzz on :-D

On this job we used a multi tool, roto zip and sawzall.

That RotoZip looks like a mighty useful tool. Might have to add that to my tool box.
Say, I noticed in the last few videos of your cutouts you aren't using a bee vac. Too hot to use it?

I try not to use it at all after the honey flow. With the heat and full stomachs they tend to regurgitate and losses go way up.
The Rotozip does come in handy but my new favorite tool is my multi tool, especially so since purchasing a Bosch head that is great on wood. It is powerful enough to cut through 3/4" plywood and makes a very narrow seam.
Its great on molding and baseboards.
