I'm just trying some of this pierco for the first time myself! Very Nice

Buzzbee,

We tried the black Pierco for the first time myself this year.  Already had some Kelly divided bottom bar frames.   Was told they wouldn't work with snapin foundation, that we would have to get grooved bottom bar frames, but they worked just fine!  I do put a small nail in the bottom bars to make sure the foundation stays in place until they draw it out, but I'm not sure it's necessary.  We'll never use plastic frames again.  If the bees are going to build burr comb they'll more than likely build it on the plastic.  We fight that almost everytime we open a hive now.  We almost never have to deal with that with the wooden frames.
