Double brood box top full of honey

Check my hives today. Some where low on honey, some were doing ok.
But had one hive that the top brood box was completely full of cap honey. Strong hive with the bottom box loaded with bees.
I switch a couple of the cap frames with another hive that was low.
Have anyone ever seen this?

The bees don't know the difference between a super and a deep. If they need to store honey and don't need the space for brood then you get honey in the upper brood box. Nothing abnormal about this.

Bees will store all the honey they can make, starting at the top and filling downward. It is up to the beek to have enough supers on to keep the honey from being filled down into the brood boxes.
Now you can blame the beek, not the bees. :-P
