Not sure what the problem is. I hope this forum isn't editing other forums out of posts. If you go to beesource.com I posted it there. The link is @ §¤«£¿æ.com

I get an immediate block out but I am behind a company fire wall. They don't like that site.  :-

Apparently not. I have issues with it as well but one of the worlds leading authorities on beekeeping posts there regularly so there is much to be found. I posted @ beesource.com as well.

Well, I think what's happening could well be termed 'censorship' - but with some justification, apparently.

Of course, those of us who are new here will be completely unaware of conflicts historical - and we can only find out about these when this kind of hiccup occurs. Admin: Might be an idea to explain these restrictions in a 'sticky for newcomers' perhaps ?

Ok Drew - condensation - assuming that you don't already have a copy  - if you Google "Johann Thur", the very first link is back to this forum where there's a .pdf download link. Thur makes a great deal of sense when writing about the regulation of the inter-comb environment, and the importance of Brace Comb in creating a sealed (open-bottomed) cavity to enhance humidity - a structure which framed hives as well as the Natural Beekeeping's flagship KTBH deny to the bees. I have a couple of solutions to this Brace Comb issue which I'm working on at the moment - but need to field test them before going public.

Of course, humidity isn't the same thing as condensation, but I think if the bees are allowed to regulate the inter-comb humidity as they clearly have done historically, and still do in their feral nests, then whether or not condensation is desirable or not will be left up to them, and not us with our mammalian attitudes towards dampness.

Good reading.  I like that he posted his observations and how they were set up.
