4th of July Swarm
« on: July 05, 2009, 05:49:12 pm »
Here are some photos of a swarm that I saw while driving on the 4th of July.  I was quite excited as it was my first swarm!  Now I finally feel like an official beek!

Looked like a nice swarm and the first one always is.  Did you have a mix of wooden and plastic frames in the hive body you put them in?

Yup, just used what I had available.  The plastic frames were actually medium frames and all the others were deeps but they took to them all just fine!
