Anyone interested in watching this and having a civil discussion about any parts covered?

G. Edward Griffin The Dangerous Servant A Discourse on Government

I'll just say I agree with much of Mr. Griffin's answers but not all.
Quite difficult matters can be explained even to a slow-witted man, if only he has not already adopted a wrong opinion about them; but the simplest things cannot be made clear even to a very intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he already knows, and knows indubitably, the truth of the matter under consideration. -Leo Tolstoy

The stridency of this Rap infested diatribe against---Guess Who's fault it ALWAYS is!  May be the reason for the lack of comment.  It is a sad thing that white people cannot even defend themselves without being called racist.  That is why no comments child.

Vance, did you even watch this video?  I think you're talking about the one on church diversity rather than this one.  I'm not sure about everything Griffin says, eccentric to a degree, but he poses food for thought.  He's a critic of the federal reserve and has several conspiracy theories on several things.  I don't have time to sit for a hour and a half and watch it, though...

American blood spilled to protect the freedom and peace of people all over the world.  320,000 USA casualties in WWI, 1,076,000 USA casualties in WWII, 128,000 USA casualties in the Korean War, 211,000 casualties in the Vietnam "conflict", 57,000 USA casualties in "War on Terror".  Benghazi, Libya, 13 USA casualties. These figures don't include 70,000 MIA.  But, the leaders of one political party of the United States of America continue to make the statement..."What difference does it make?".

Don't worry about it.  Plenty of conversations here that don't pertain to bees.

hjon71,
I think a better "note to self" would be to keep it pithy!

For better or worse we live in a world of the 30 second sound bite.  Everyone's busy...

Asking folks to invest an hour and a half of their time to watch a video on the chance that they may want to discuss it is probably setting the bar a bit high in my opinion.

Moots- I suppose you are right. And I understand, I guess.....kinda.
But what does that say about us that we no longer have the ability to digest anything longer than a few minutes?

Vance- I am genuinely curious how either of the videos could lead to your comment.

hjon71,
Like I said, "for better or worse"  :-D  And I'm afraid you're right, it's "worse", but I was trying to keep it positive.

Add it to the long and ever growing list of what's wrong with the world we live in.   :(
