Ted,

Family motorcycle trips. How cool is that!!!! I've been trying to convince my wife to get her MC license so we can go on family bike trips.  I'm thinking if I get her a bike she'll have no choice 8)

How about some pictures of the bikes.

Better yet,  how about some pictures of the bike with beehives :P

Here's mine

my wife's bike is a 1998 Yamaha 1100 Virago, her's is red and white, I'll have to see if I can find a picture of it and post later...I know I have one of it in the camera but the battery need charging if my wife tells me were the charger is

we have a lot of fun on them bike trips, we never plan on a place to stay, just ride and when it starts to get evening time we find a room and a place to eat, sometimes we leave home and are gone for a week just riding through the mountains, we go to a lot of the caves, and places like chimney rock just to see the sites, the last one we took was about 2 months ago and we went to look out mountain in chattanooga Tenn, it was just a long weekend and we had a blast, might be the best thing we ever done was getting bikes and taking trip in the mountains...... you should try it......she wants to ride to Bangor Maine one year for the lobster festival. I get a sore butt just thinking about that ride, 1200 miles one way, I dread that one......

It's not uncommon to find a milk crate strapped to the back with my veil, smoker and bee tools.  In fact the guys at work know enough not to invite me to after work activities when they see the crate on the bike.

But this was a time I found some ripe queen cells when I went to start some queen rearing. It was getting to late to go home and get the truck.  So I had a couple of empty nucs and when your delt queen cells you make nucs.   I took a picture since I figured it wouldn't happen again.  And it makes good conversation    Not many bees have rode on a motorcycle (at least live bees).

You should really start to worry about me if you see one strapped to this

Wow,  nice bike, you put me to shame.... those hardbags probably cost more than my whole bike.  What a lucky guy too, wish my wife was that into riding.    Not that she is against it, just not very enthusiastic about it.  Maybe if I get her a bike it will change.  We use to ride dirt bikes and 4-wheelers all the time, but that petered out once our son came along. (make note to self... get her a bike  )
