Opened my hive today to find that:
Yes, the bees consumed (and were still actively consuming) the dry sugar I applied 'mountain camp' style last month - they used about 3 lbs. I would estimate, with a little loss to falling through the frames.
and
No, they did not seem interested in the pollen patty that I gave them over the last two weeks. They are bringing in a good quantity of pollen now, so I guess will be even less interested now.
BTW, can I save the left-over pollen patty in the freezer for next year, or will it be shot by then?

Yes you can freeze your patty unless the SHB have gotten into it to spoil it. (It turns real wormy)

I meant to note that fortunately, I saw no sign of SHB in or around the patty.
