Help needed for bees in house in Montreal

I get all kinds of email to my blog.  Today this is what I got:

Hello, I have a small amount of bees starting a new hive in a hole they
discovered where the caulking came loose between the roof and the gutter of
my house. It must be brand new as I count about 6 or 7 bees coming and
going..3 or 4 must be just born as they are real small and 3 or 4 are a
little larger. I do not want to kill them, just get them to move away but I
think that the queen must have established the hive already as I see the
workers bring back pollen stuffed leg sacks. I have tried mothballs crushed
up and sprayed it in the hole and it keeps them from entering the hive for a
while but then they just buzz around my doorway for a while and rest on the
ledge of the gutter and keep trying to enter the hive.If it was somewhere
else I would love to see them have success with the hive but I have heard
that if they are between the walls it could become a nightmare in the
future. Any suggestions on how to get them to move before I have to resort
to some chemical solution that will sadly be their demise. If I leave them
alone will they die in the winter..as you can see I want to prolong their
existence because they are good for the environment and they are having a
hard enough time with all the problems like mites,colony collapse and
pesticides. I live in Pierrefonds, Montreal.

I dont' know any beekeepers in Canada, much less Montreal, so I'm hoping someone here can help this guy whose name is John Kramer.

Kind of talking in circles there, the bees are doomed if you ask me. Moth balls are killer on bees, don't ask!!

A long drive from Georgia.   I hope they are at least honey bees.

I wrote him back and questioned that since he said the thing about some of them being very small.  I usually can send some kind of suggestion, so I sent him a link to beekeepers in Montreal and suggested that they might not be honey bees (do they have yelloow jackets in Canada?)  And isn't it funny that he wrote a beekeeper in Atlanta for help in Canada?

Yeah, we have (lots of) yellow jackets here too.

The McGill Apicultural Association (maa-mac) is not far from him, but I doubt the guys will have any time for this.

There is one beek from Montreal on the Need Bees Removed page here on the forum but he only for swarms it says.   He might know someone.

Follow up:  I gave him all the websites you all posted.  He wrote back effusively with thanks and said he actually now thinks they are bumblebees - fuzzy, black and yellow.  He has read that they die in the winter so he is going to leave them alone until then and then close up the entrance.  Thanks everyone for the input.
