just wondering how you know? supercedure cells?

Did you direct release her or let them eat the candy from the cage?
-
i poked a larger hole in the candy . checked a few days after and she was out.
-
I assume you are making that call because you are not seeing any eggs/larvae anywhere (besides not being able to see the queen anywhere).
-
are the rest of the bees still there building comb?
-
I had most drawn comb. no eggs or larvae to be found

when i installed the package i used drawn comb from a dead-out . i added a feeder ,bees and 7 frames of drawn comb. poked the candy with a ice pick and placed her in the hive like i always did and a few days after i checked and there is no queen and no eggs! question is ..how are they able to make a emergency supersedure cell with no eggs? i think i need to pull a frame from another hive with young eggs and place that in the package! correct?

That should do the trick.
