Tetragonisca Angustula

Hello Everyone,

Im originally from Brazil, and my parents and I moved to Florida, USA when I was 13. In Brazil I remember a type of bee that was stingless, they lived inside hollow logs and cinder blocks, we called them Jatai. They made terrific honey.

I did a bit of research and turns out their name is Tetragonisca Angustula and I was thinking of getting a hive started, specially here in florida they would thrive. Problem is I dont know if they are legal. Anyone has any information on them or can guide me in the right direction. Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you.

A short search finds out nothing on them.   Maybe someone can do more.   But I really doubt you can have them here.
