Queen Nuc managment question
« on: July 16, 2008, 10:57:42 pm »
I have two, two frame queen nucs.  The queens have been in the nucs for 15 days.  I checked them yesterday to see if they were released from the cages and they were.  Is there a need for me to circulate in empty frames and pull full frames to keep the queens laying and healthy?

Are these mated queens or where they virgins?

Two frame nucs are usually used for mating virgin queens, they are too small to keep a laying queen in for very long.

Mated,... I better move them to larger Diggs   I'll do that today.
