Wax Moths
« on: March 26, 2007, 12:20:33 pm »
I had a lot of wax moth damage in supers I stored over the winter.  Para Moth is not available for sale in MA or in CA.  I was wondering what people are doing to prevent moth damage?  Is there a home remedy, or should I just have a friend in NH order Para Moth for me?

next time, freeze over the combs and store them in bin bags or any other airtight container.

Remove all of the damaged comb. Remove the coccons. If your bees are not bringing in pollen give them a pollen patty to encourage comb building.

Do a forum search on certan or B401.   This is a much better option than para moth.
