New to Bee Keeping and loving it
« on: June 04, 2011, 11:47:31 pm »
I live in northern Virginia (USA). With all my reading, I can help with minor questions, but the answers will be on my readings and limited experience and I will add that to my replies as I do not want others to mistake me as a authority. I started with two colonies, one ran off to join the circus (I think) and I replaced it this year with a nuc and is ever different the starting with a package. I hope to keep in touch but I admit, I am new to using forums.

Welcome!

I've been keeping bees for about a year and I'm still asking questions and learning new stuff.

In beekeeping every new experiment takes another year... so it takes a while to get the hang of things.

Welcome.

I kept bees in McLean, VA, back in the 1980s.  Didn't have varroa problems back then, but didn't have wonderful resources like this forum, either.  Thanks to Beemaster.com I know so much more about my girls now than I did when I was keeping back in the "dark ages."  I also get a lot more pleasure out of it.
