With small cell or regression could it be the clean wax that is helping the bees survive compared to the wax from foundation that is contaminated with pesticides. Or is it a combination of both natural or small cell and clean wax.

I had nothing but clean wax (foundation was bought in the 70's no treatments for 25 years) in my hives when they all died from Varroa. No I don't think so, but clean wax will obviously contribute to healthy bees.
