What did an opperation like this cost you?  I have four hives and so far I've spent close to 500 dollars on woodenware and supplies.  Don't even get me started on the extracting equipment...

the old guy was getting out of the business because he was moving out of state so i got all the hives for 100.00 piece.  the nucs were one's i bought and assembled from dadant.  I got 50 or so med. supers and and a 15 frame extractor for 500.00.  
i felt like i got a good deal.
