New To Beekeeping
« on: February 05, 2012, 09:24:35 am »
Hello, I live in Florida with my husband and 3 daughters and 1 lil grandaughter (that is excited about the bees). We live in the country and have a few farm animals. We have always been interested in Honey Bees and have decided to try to be bee keepers. I also want to make sure we have good plants, trees, ect for our bees so any advice would be very appreciated, we live more N. Florida. Thanks and excited to learn more about the bees.  :)

Welcome to the site! You came to the right place to learn about beekeeping.

There's lots of beeks on this site from Florida. I live north of Titusville in Mims. Its also a little bit country here. I have cows on my land, (not mine), and some of the neighbors have chickens. My wife helps me with my bees and we enjoy them.

My first advice to you is find a local beekeeping club and a beekeeping school.  A lot of information from both of those resources.
