Beekeeping courses

Hi from Orange County, CA

I'm the mother of a 19-year-old girl who wants to become a bee-keeper....and looks for bee-keeping course programme in OC...Is there anybody to tell me how to find one and where? Are there any diploma or certificate to get? Please, Help...  :?

Looks like the website is a bit out of date, but hopefully you can find some contact info.

Thank you so much for your help....I'll contact these associations.

In France, you graduate and get a national diploma in Apiculture and beekeeping.  Is it the same in the US?
Can you just take courses online and declare yourself a beekeeper to develop your proficiency or do you need a diploma just like in France plus training periods to validate your diploma?

Don't remember where I got it from but several years ago I found ,

"Beekeeping" 101, 102 &103, By John Clayton. I think he is known here by the name, Bee-master.

If you go through all the postings here you should pick up a large farm full of info.
