It's a beautiful day...
« on: July 29, 2007, 05:08:59 am »
...when you can open your hive and pull out 10 of these from a medium box. It brought me to almost tears, and overwhelming excitement to see this in my first year. This is from a colony, hived in Aprilof this year, and is my first year as a beekeeper.

Thanks to everyone for you help here on the boards!!

What a beautiful looking frame!  Good luck with the rest of the season!

(By the way; I moved the post to the photo section where the other member photos are).

That is a great achievement and a great picture.  Is that wildflower or something else?

Happy to see you have a successful year your first year out, most first years don't have that kind of fortune, year differ when it comes to flows so enjoy the good years and learn to live with the bad, this was a bad year for me, out of a possible 18 supers , combined I got 4 full supers, drought killed use this year... congratulation on the first year, nice looking frames and pic's...
THAT's ME TO THE LEFT JUST 5 MONTHS FROM NOW!!!!!!!!

Thanks for moving to the correct area, and also to everyone for the advice and encouragement.

Yes, I believe partly wildflower, but partly mint too. It has the most wonderful taste :) The burr comb that I had a few months ago has come along way, and that whole thing tasted like mint when I relocated it to a frame.

Next year I'm planning to have more hives, but I guess that adds to the complexity of it all!

Have a great week!
