Nowadays the problem is that modern bee colonies are too big to live in that hive.
Colonies are now 3 times bigger than 50 years ago.
It gives no added value in north. It will be a nuisance tohandle and move.
I have thought a similar system to one queen colony. My back do not stand to lift so high heavy honey boxes as they are now. I have planned how to get the hive lower.
I have planned two tower hive where bees have acces to each other towers in several points.
