Interesting.....

So if the stamp was really used to ship them (I've never seen them ship just the cage),  where was the address info?

That "really old" 1 cent stamp was first issued in December, 1977.

I must be a super-antique!

The trick is training the queen to read the minature GPS unit so she can find the address.  One way to avoid her needing a GPS is to make a robot bee that does the correct "waggle dance".  That way she knows exactly how to get there.  But you have to get a very accurate robot and it has to be keyed off of a GPS or she could end up in the wrong state.  They aren't very patient waiting nt he mailbox either.  ;)

And, actually, you've NEVER been able to mail a letter for 1 cent, let alone a queen.  EVER.
