Hi,
I just ordrered my first beehive.
My dad kept bees when I was a kid but unfortunately he can't help me these days so I am just a bit nervous
I was planning to attend a class at our local 4H center, but it is full. So I might be begging for advice from the pros on this forum.
Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Welcome and lots of help on offer. Some good and some not so good, so pay attention to whom you decide to listen to. Someone with experieince in your area is the most desireable.
Spent some time reading old posts and threads with questions from new beekeepers. It is all great fun and I envy you the newness of the many discoveries that will excite you.

Welcome aboard,
You're in for the treat of your life, at least that's how I feel about beekeeping. Vance gave you some good advice, can't believe I said that :-D,
Local advice is usually the best. Just remember to sort through everything carefully. You'll do just fine. So ask away!

Welcome to the forum, Pclaire. There are some here from PA. There are lots of threads and videos here also. Check into a local bee club, you may find a mentor there. Good luck and beek is addictive.
