Looks like you got a few more hives there Irwin!! :evil:  I see cobbler makins too!  YUM  Made my first one last week touch of cinnamon & brown sugar sprinkled on top..hot with vanilla ice cream..thinkin I better pick & make one tomorrow too! Thanks for the pics, I like the different colors in the ripe & unripe berries, nice contrast!

I'm making a cobbler today :-D Those are 8 frame deeps the guy I work for is changing over  to them from his 10 frame. more work for me :-D

In the third picture of a frame - what is that in the middle of the frame? A queen cell? Some kind of damage?

The hive went queenless and they were trying to raise a queen from drone larva.

Cool.  You know I've thought about that, and I wonder if what they are really doing in a case like that is raising a Super Drone - bigger, stronger, faster, and with a better chance of preserving the genetics of a doomed colony.  

Has anyone ever seen what the drone looks like from one of these?
