Title: Blog Post: January Bees
Post by: Rurification on January 17, 2013, 08:16:39 am

It's our first time overwintering.   Here's the January inspection report.

Plus, I am a failed candy maker.   I hope the bees don't mind crumbly sugar bricks.

Bees are fine with crumbly sugar bricks.   Gooey runny candy is much more of a danger as it drips down on the cluster.

Has anybody used Fondant?  The stuff they cover cakes with?  I've heard of using it but don't know anything about making it or where to get it.  Would it be good for late winter/early spring feeding?
