Title: Short Vaporizing Question
Post by: RHBee on October 19, 2013, 01:44:45 am
I decided to hold off on vaporizing my hives ultil I pull the excess supers off and size for winter. The amount recommended to vaporize is one 1/2" copper pipe cap full. I just want to know if that's packed and level ot heaping.

Light a smoker so you can constantly monitor the wind direction.  You do NOT want to breath the vapors...

I bought me a half mask respirator with acid vapor cartridges. Goggles also. I sometimes have to work around anhydrous ammonia. I read the MSDS on this stuff. Not good. The smoker as a wind sock is a good idea. JIC.
