Moving new hives?
« on: April 28, 2012, 01:58:43 am »
I installed two packages one week ago Thursday and three last Saturday. My hive stand got stuck at the powder coaters so I could not place them where I would like to have them. I would like to move two of them
5 feet up and the other three 4 feet back , placing them in a single file row. I recall reading that moving a new hive/queen is something not to do for a bit of time. I failed to take notes,so when is it OK to move? I do not need to move right away but would like to eventually. Thanks in advance for your advice.
