It was pretty cool the amount of heat that was being pushed out of the hive when I placed my hand in front of the hive entrance. I can see why a top entrance is so important during the summer.

Yesterday I added an extra super for the bees. There was still frames that were not compleatly full in the second super so I don't think the bees were overcrowded just hot. The extra super should give them some relief.

Has anyone ever placed a top hat on top of their hives?

There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold. The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold. The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee. Robert Service
