Treating OH for mites?
« on: November 12, 2009, 08:07:12 pm »
I have a frisch observation hive. Saw some mites. Wanted to know if anyone has bothered to treat and with what? I was planning on moving the hive outside and using oxalic evaporation.

Back when I treated at all, I tried FGMO fog through the tube... never tried anything else.  I suppose Oxalic vapor could be done if you took it outside...

I don't treat any of them.

I did OA trickle once on an OH.  Just trickled it in between the glass and frames from the top.  Obviously depends on how your hive is assembled if you can do this or not.   Like Michael, I no longer treat.
