Very nice.

What kind of boxes are those?  Commercial or did you make them?

They don't look like 10 frame equipment either.

I think your husband deserves a case of beer or his favorite bevarage for all that hard work. I think that project turned out wonderfull and thanks for sharing.

p.s. Is this the same place were some wild bees stung someone not to long ago?

LOL, that should be renamed the "sting yard"...if you notice there are 2 empty cinder block foundations where the new packages will go.

The equipment is 8 frame, and was given to me last year before I knew about mediums and the like.  If the bees survive just fine, I will have 2 all medium 8 frame hives, and 2 hives with deep broods and med or shallow honey supers.

That's the human plan, don't know what the bees have planned...LOL

What a beautiful bee yard. I can't wait until your bees arrive. Please post photos when they arrive. After you hive them or even when hiving them. That should be fun.

I am very happy for you and totally understand your feelings about this wonderful hobby we have.

Sincerely
Annette

Beautiful! Makes me long for summer seeing all the plants. Your bees have a nice place to call home.

Sharon, wow!!!  You got a very, very beautiful apiary there.  Your Husband really did a fine job, and I am not kidding.  Looking at the craftmanship that went into that piece of work was something else.  My hat off to him!!!  What a gorgeous little knoll on the hill.

Your bees will love to live there, not a doubt in my mind, beauty and thank you for sharing this with us.  Have a most wonderfully awesome day.  Cindi

Thanks again, I am truly humbled...I needed a flat work area, and I got one.  Makes it much easier to work with the bees, and I can look out my kitchen and front room window to peek in on them too...  Yay!

I'm jealous.  I'm always having to figure out how to level them...

Great job Sharon. Since the bees will be happier I am sure they will up the rent a bit this year for you! BTW it looks more like a 2 beer case job.

Ohhhhhh . . . it is so lovely.  I'll post pictures as soon as mine is finished.  We have a lot of work to do before our bees arrive in two weeks, but it has been raining a lot.  It's good for the new lawn and the clover I planted, but doesn't help getting out there preparing the bee yard.

Oh boy, Sharon!!
 That IS really NICE!! :)
 That looks like "Bee Heaven!"
It also reminds me of a "Monument" to bee keeping!
Kind of like the Washinton Monument!
All it needs is a bronze plaque commemorating the site!
The rest of your yard looks really nice too. Tell your husband That i think he did a GREAT job on this bee yard!

your friend,
john

I have a bronze historical plaque next to my front door...It says,"On This Site in 1891 Nothing Happened".
Cool, huh?
