Gday from NSW AUSTRALIA!!! I am completely new to bee keeping and live in Cessnock in the Hunter Valley any information about how to get started keeping bees in my area would be very much appreciated all comments welcome.

Gday mate to you to.  Welcome to the forum, Riley.  There is an Aussie beek topic, sure they will be glad to help.  I would see if there is a bee club near by, and join if there is.  Good luck to you

Riley, welcome to the forum, as suggested by Joe it is highly recommended to join a local club as they have the information on where the best places are to purchase resources etc.

I don't know how close they are to you but there is a Amateur Beekeepers Association  Hunter Valley Branch (contact Jim Wright 0249593138 or email jwr81149@bigpond.net.au

Yep finding a bee club will be a huge help to get you started.  Have you got bees yet?
