A swarm in Miami
« on: September 18, 2007, 03:21:15 pm »
A friend of mine just contacted me to say that they have discovered a huge swarm of honeybees with well established honey combs in their condo roof ... below some shingles. It has been there for some time now and therefore I cannot really think it is a swarm ... but an established colony in the roof. They need to get it out and away... honey is flowing everywhere and so was wondering if any beekeeper in the Miami area would be interested in a cut-out and capture. Wish I was there .. but here I am in Costa Rica and dealing with the wilder bees. :(
