Greetings from a warm Marietta Ga
« on: December 10, 2015, 03:19:09 am »
I had an interest in beekeeping in the 1980's. Now that I am unable to work a regular job I was thinking that I might keep bees using 8 frame hive medium supers. Right now I am trying to come back up to speed on my bee knowledge to prepare to get a hive.  I am also trying to find a beekeeper to mentor me along the way.

Welcome, this website and the good people on here was my mentor. I'd help you but we're a ways away.

I use to live in Gadsden and was with the Etowah Co Beekeepers in the 1980's. Never did get bees, but am hoping to get a hive going in the coming year.

Welcome to the forum.  Lots of good people here.  Good luck getting bees.  Might as well get addicted to something

Feenix,
Welcome to Beemaster.
I used to own an acre lot down in Compass Lake FL. Not far from you.
Beautiful country out there.

Welcome to the forum and to beekeeping. It's a lot of fun.

8 frame hives are popular, so I would certainly consider it if I started over.
