Brood Cappings

That's right ! I have dozens of brown brood cappings on my bottom boards in 2 hives. I thought the newborns eat all of it or does it mean something else.  :?

no they don't eat it, they chew it out, and older bees take it out-fly it away, observe a hive on a rainy day, you'll see a few with those cappings in front, wondering if it's safe to take off.
