Drew says that the killer bees are becoming less aggressive as they breed with European bees living in the wild.

I would like to know what he is basing that statement on when it has been shown that the AHB queens hatch earlier than the standard queens do.

The thing I understand keeps AHBs out are strong colonies of standard honeybees that can fight them back when they try to take over a hive.
Also AHBs as I have read tend to swarm with far more frequency than standard honeybees.

Maybe he is just playing to peoples fears and trying to keep them calm.

Maybe they will all move to Georgia and stay there, we don't want them in Florida. ;)

Sincerely,
Brendhan
