CBEE I was working on the planes regardless if they were on the line or in the hangar.  I worked on KC130s.  Airframes/Hydraulics mech for 4 years.

I should have stayed.  I would be an E8 now.  Maybe E9.  The only time it sucked being out on the line was when it was raining at night time.  Hard to see and you were wet and cold.
God Bless all the troops

Ok, I'll play ..... Hello!
I am from Southern New Jersey. This is my first year with the Honey Bees.
Currently I have 2 two deep hives. Heavy, and ready for Winter.
I Will expand to 4 hives this up coming spring season.
I enjoy using the Carniolan race of bees, they are extreamly gentle.
Where I live, I need this trait due to neighbors being housed so close together.
Hopefully next season I will be able to get some honey from the yard.

Regards,
Bill from NJ

I'm glad a few people are saying hello, its nice to see some new faces. Hey, I tried doing voice chat myself a month or so ago maybe longer and had some complications. I think the system was down or had changed servers or something so I backed off to wait and see if things cleared up, so it seems. Will try again soon. Keep those posts coming!!!!

Ken, haa, ha, ha, you are a funny man.  Actually, I rarely use the phone and rarely answer it, only if I have to, I let my Husband answer it.  No one I want to talk to usually, hee, hee.  I hate to talk on the phone, everyone who knows me knows that, hee, hee.

I actually did try out the ventrillo quite a few months ago, it was discombubulating (what a word eh?).  It was too weird for me.   In all honesty, I may still try out the chat room one day, it does hold some intrigue.  But you have to help me along with this.

I am not one that does well at all with crowds, I am rather reclusive by nature.  So, how on earth when you have a bunch of people in a chat room can one get a word in edge wise.  I can picture in my mind's eye, 10 people all trying to talk at once, or each other interrupting each other, no one getting a word in edge wise.  So, tell me, how do you get around that?  That kind of noise would be overwhelming to me, and I can't stand confusion.  Tell me a little bit about how this is overcome, you have caught my interest slightly  :? :-D ;) :) :)  Have a wonderful and beautiful day on our great planet, Earth. Cindi

Cindi WOW. I am exactly the same way. I hate trying to do business over the phone. I never call anyone unless I just have to and if some one calls they do all the talking. I usually don't have anything to say. And you are correct on those crowds. Too much noise. If there is more than three people in a room I usually go some where else. Hate eating out for the same reason. Too much noise.

The thing is Cindi, some people can actually focus on one thing and tune the rest out. I hear everything all the time. Some one talking to me while at the same time I am catching voices off of two TVs, while wondering why the dogs are barking out side, knowing what kind of vehicle is out on the highway from the sound it makes, and knowing what crossing the train two miles away is at from the direction of the horn. Why is the water running in the sink, the washer kicked into spin cycle and why isn't my daughter checking on her son in the next room can't they hear him climbing up on stuff.

All that at the same time. No wonder I have headaches. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

I am one of those people who can usually tune everything out except what I want to hear, but I still hate speaking on the telephone and usually do not spend much time on it.

I hate to talk on the phone, always have.  I'd rather drive across town to talk to someone face to face than spend time on the phone.  Also, being a bit hard of hearing I keep telling whoever I'm talking to to slow down so I can understand them.  My ears have slowed down along with the rest of me.

My average phone call is one minute whether someone calls or vice versa.  I hate to hear it ring.  It's a tool, not a toy!  When you have a nail to hammer, you hammer it and put the hammer away.

like brian i don't like using the phone and would rather talk to the person face to face, but a lot of times its not possible and the phone is the next best thing to stay in touch.  in this day of emailing, what i miss most is sending and receiving good old fashion hand written letters and cards!  nothing like a personal touch.
