First Year in Concord Ga.
« on: July 07, 2012, 12:38:26 am »
Hello! I live in Concord, Ga. and this is my first year beekeeping.  I installed my first package in May and have enjoyed watching them get established.  I think I’ve just about learned something new every day.  I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences and gaining knowledge from you all to make this first year a success.

Thanks,
Richard

Welcome to the addiction, Richard. I'm next door to you in Spalding county and I'm glad to see more beeks in this area. We have some great beekeepers in this area and if you are ever in need there are several of us that would be more than glad to help a new beekeeper.
Henry County Beekeepers is the nearest club to you if you would like to attend a bee meeting. We meet the second tuesday of the month at 7pm in McDonough (this upcoming tuesday). We meet in the county public safety bldg on Zack Hinton Pkwy. This month we have three speakers doing a presentation on extracting and preparing honey for honey contests.
