After that big ol swarm, there is an empty hive somewhere on that road.    And some on this forum would call that swarm a tree shaker.

I had a hunch that our swarms would get much larger once the tallow flow hit. They are all pretty dang huge now is what we are seeing. The mild winter we had allowed them to build early with good numbers but it came with a price. Good numbers with low to zero stores had the bees just sitting there. Those that did cast swarms were tiny. Now they are healthy & throwing off big swarms. Its a beautiful thing!

Another great catch and video! If this was a swarm and not the entire hive I wonder how big the hive was

Shawn, swarms in my area are running very large now. I pulled one out of a couple's floor joists last night that was 5.5-6lbs of bees!

This picture doesn't do it justice as the swarm went back in between the joist about two feet worth.

Wow JP that video was truly amazing!  I have never seen even pictures of a swarm that big before!  I think I might have called 911 if that swarm landed in my front yard!  LOL!  :-D Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy watching your videos.
