Title: Honesty Honey Shop in the Snow
Post by: Bees-in-Art on December 18, 2009, 11:25:09 am
This is my honesty stall in the snow today. I've had it out here for six years and have only had three jars of honey stolen in that time.

Best wishes,

That is fabulous, and how honest most people truly are.

There is a gentlemen not far from here that has as shed out in front of his house near the road (rural area) where he sells his honey. Most of the time it is operated by the honor system. If you see something that you like, take it and drop the money in the box. He has been doing it for years.

The other half of my honesty stall: my Grandad's cottage hive: is a local landmark.

Nice picures.  I can almost see folks in Victorian garb walking to and fro in the snow...  Yes, they would make wonderful cards.

It is truly a wonderful thing, that you have a neighborhood that is that honest and can be trusted. It shows a glimpse of hope for humanity, yet. By the way. The pictures of your area would make some nice CHRISTMAS cards for friends.

Andrew I just love your pictues.
Can you tell me something about those houses, are the houses in the second and third pictures just really close together or are they add ons?
Looks like everyone in the neighborhood enjoys a fireplace. I love them, it was actually one of the things I looked for when I was looking for a house.
A very cozy neighborhood.

Hi Natalie,

I think that you must be looking at the white farm house? I don't know why they've only painted the front part of the house - makes it look like two buildings. We think it's one of the prettiest farm houses in the village, in fact my wife has made a mezzotint engraving of it:
