Thank you. I have been using Denver's Sting Stopper, sometimes its great and sometimes it ain't stoppin nothing. I guess it all depends on the sting but it works extremely well most of the time.

I never found a really good product for stings so I just gave up looking, but a week or so ago I was on a swarm call and the home owner suggested rubbing a sting with a cut onion...says she swears by it. Peggy tried it when she was zapped on the temple and said it seemed to work well. I tend to just prefer copious amount of malted hops taken internally :-D

Kathy, yes I've seen you post that time and again but I just can't get past the visual of "Da Boyz" finding it in my tool bag!

i always keep 20% OraJel with me, it immediately anesthetizes the stinger and stops it from pumping, but f course you should always SCRAPE the stinger off flat with the skin, even applying some pressure to get below the skin to get the most stinger out.

But of course, stinger or no, the Orajel kills the pain immediately and a little goes a long way :)

Too funny. In order to help with the sleeves of a heavy wet suit, I use KY Jelly.  Rather embarrassing to see that fall out of the dive bag in airport security  :-D

a man should be secure enough in his self-image to use whatever substance for whatever purpose,  :-D but, then again, you could also use the "those darned kids playing a prank on me again" excuse...

I always use honey. It is redily available in the hive and is hydroscopic. Helps to pull out the water based toxins. It also masks the alarm pheromone! I have been stung 7 times this season already due to being dumb...

Vagisil. Funny..I'm 37 years old with 2 kids. I'm not out to impress anyone anymore so I'll try anything.  I'm a police officer and have been sent by the wife to buy certain feminine products on the way home from work and dont care at all to do it. Do get some funny looks though. The cut onion trick does work , however it works lots better using a fresh cut one as opposed to one thats been lurking in the fridge for a while.

Been there.  The fun part is when checking out I try to look all uncomfortable and then say something like "Uhhh...really...that's not for me....".  Talk about weird looks!!   :-D

I wonder if anyone has tried preparation H? It's supposedly "gets the sting out".

But what if your arm or where ever you got stung shrunk to nothing? You would look like a dinosaur with little tiny arms :)

I can assure you that it hasn't worked that way on the area it is intended for yet.
