How long do Varroa ride on adult bees?
« on: November 14, 2009, 05:58:48 pm »
Anyone know how long it is between a fertile female varroa emerging from capped brood until she returns to capped brood to lay eggs?  I'm sure that it's a range, but the answer is important in timing follow up treatments of oxalic acid vapor.

One of the USDA web sites says a few days to more than 1 month with 7 day being typical.
