Arizona State Butterfly
« on: February 02, 2008, 10:35:56 pm »
My son took a photo of a colorful butterfly that landed in our driveway last year. I finally identified it as a Two-tailed Swallowtail (Papilio multicaudata):

I was surprised a few days later when someone asked to publish his photo for identification of the Arizona state butterfly.  His picture can now be seen on this web page (second picture)

David, oooh what a beautiful picture of that butterfly, awesome, thankyou for sharing this with us.  Beautiful day in this great life.  Cindi
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service
