BjornBee, I see that NSQBA is your creation...
NSQBA. I hope the queen breeder association is doing well. I'll look for your ad.
AllenF was simply passing on the free shipping info as there are many Kelley customers on the website (including me) and I, for one, appreciate the heads-up. I don't think he is the owner of Kelleys (though I could be (surprisingly) wrong ;) ) as you are of Bjorn Apiaries, so replacing "Kelleys" with "Bjorn" would mean you were breaking forum rules. When you run your ads and include a special of discounted shipping or whatever in some of the trade magazines I certainly hope one of your customers mentions it here on the forum so other NSQBA customers will be sure to know about it. Maybe you'll even pick up some new customers...maybe Kelley's will, too. :)
When I first found Beemaster what I actually found was a cached copy of John's early blog. I read a lot about his life, getting his first bees, going to the round track races, dealing with a wrecked car, all kinds of things thrown in with his beekeeping. It was interesting to say the least and I thought to myself "this dude's got his head screwed on pretty good!". When I finally got to the end of his blog and it started kinda trailing off into the sunset it was kinda like somebody was closing the curtains. THEN I stumbled upon the actual Beemaster forum...and I've been around ever since. ;) It's John's creation and one thing I remember him saying early on was that he wanted this to be a non-commercial, ad-free site. He has it posted in the forum by-laws now, too. I appreciate his and the different moderators time and money in building the site and keeping it running. Since John is the owner I guess he can have whatever rules he wants. It's no biggie for me...but I'm not a vendor and don't intend to be. :)
To me, the fact that commercial ads are absent on Beemaster is a breath of fresh air...very, very few websites of any kind are commercial free. To be honest with you Bjorn, your link to your website and your presence here should cause any serious beekeeper to click on it. I know that you contribute a lot of knowledge here and that knowledge has lead me to check out your website...advertising didn't send me there (your link did help, though). And who knows, I might be a customer of yours one day...for now I'm building up with ferals, though. ;)
Best wishes,
Ed
