Pics: Swarmed twice and Returned
« on: May 17, 2010, 09:02:20 pm »
I opened up my hive an split off a same nuc with two capped queen cells.  That afternoon the hive swarmed and then returned without clustering.  The second day the swarmed and cluster in a pine tree.  I geared up and made it all the way up the tree just for them to return to the hive.

Pics of them returning.  Pretty amazing to watch I just wish it was someone elses bees.  I took pictures of them in the air, but it didn't do it justice.  I put a bait box out, but had to go to work the third day.  There are not in the bait box, so I'm not sure if they left.
