jmill,
Welcome to the forum, lots of good folks here willing to share their knowledge.  I'm fairly new myself, caught beek fever around late October, started with 2 Nucs mid-January, and have been addicted ever since.  :-D

Update your profile to include your location and it'll make it easier for other forum members to keep track of where you're located, since lots of advice is often region specific.

Also a good idea to check into a local bee club if you haven't done so already.

Good luck to you and your bees!  :)

Welcome, and jumping right in is the only way to do it!
One thing I learned right away is to keep an extra bottom board around. You never know when you will  need it. Just search the net for supplies and check with other local beeks. Ebay is usually over priced.

Welcome to the forum, Jmillz151.  Not only a bottom board but also some extra supers and tops.  When you have just about all your supers full, out of BB and tops you will have a couple of swarms to catch.  Good luck to you and your bees, if you have any question just send out a post, someone will answer.
