I made about 4 gallons of sugar water in a aluminum pot and
It is starting to grow mold. What do I need to store it in so that it does not do this
Thanks for any help

freeze it. you can use jars or ziploc freezer bags. if you use a solid container, leave the lid loose until the syrup is frozen. if you use bags, put them where they won't be punctured.

Add so much sugar as it melts. High sugar content stops mold growing.
You may it it again near boiling. It kills mold and then add sugar up to 70%.
