Greetings from yet another Wisconsinite
« on: February 16, 2011, 08:42:23 pm »
Hi all,

I'm going to starting my second year of beekeeping this Spring and decided to get a little more serious about this hobby.  One goal is to start attending some local meetings, and the other was to find a good discussion board to participate in.  This post makes me 1/2 on those goals.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the number of Wisconsinites here, I am in South-Central WI (just a bit South of Madison).

My interests include trying to bee keep as naturally as possible, exploring different bee breeds, and perhaps some queen rearing in the future (also, walks on the beach).  Thus far my struggles have included robbing, and more recently overwintering.

Looks like this is a very active discussion board-glad I found it.

Welcome!

Scott
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
