I noticed today that on one of my hives a handful of bees congregating on the hive exterior just below the inner cover entrance notch, interesting never seen that before.

I have one that does that alot too, I just don't know why either but I assume its fine.

Some of my hives hang out more than others but if it gets where there are lots of bees outside, I try and put in a spacer up top to vent the hive and help keep it a bit cooler. Seems to help.
