Nope, I strongly disagree.  The BCS had nothing really to do with Ohio State not being #1...Ohio State did it to themselves.  I hate it for the boys who are now being penalized for some bad player/coach ethics, but the rest of the schools have had restrictions put on them for their rule violations, too.  Unfortunately for OS, they will not be able to find out if they're #1 or not.

Do the crime, do the time.

American blood spilled to protect the freedom and peace of people all over the world.  320,000 USA casualties in WWI, 1,076,000 USA casualties in WWII, 128,000 USA casualties in the Korean War, 211,000 casualties in the Vietnam "conflict", 57,000 USA casualties in "War on Terror".  Benghazi, Libya, 13 USA casualties. These figures don't include 70,000 MIA.  But, the leaders of one political party of the United States of America continue to make the statement..."What difference does it make?".

I hate to say it, but the Buckeyes have proved that they are the NUMBER 1 team in college football this year, despite the phoney BCS.

I don’t agree with that.  The Bucks were nearly (and should have been) beaten by some very mediocre teams, including Michigan.  Al Borges called a terrible game and the Wolver Weenies still nearly won.

The Tide got careless with Johnny Football, proving once again “that’s why they play the games”, but I don’t think there is a better team in college this year, or in and many other years.  I will concede that it takes a fair deal of good fortune to go undefeated (see Notre Dame).

Looks like the Boys in Blue will be playing at the Outback Bowl vs. LSU.  C’mon down.

USC's freshman QB was good, but inconsistent, and he made a couple of errors (just like the snotty nosed brat Kiffin)...he'll be much better with maturity (the QB, that is).  Had Barkley not been injured I think the winner of the SEC championship (Alabama ) would be looking at a different opponent coming into the national championship game in January.  But, Notre Dame won and will be there and Ohio State is going home.

It would probably be better if the “Tigahs” do win.  Then Miles won’t throw them under the bus… again.  I was relieved when UM chose TWCIMFH over Les, of course I did come to see it as an even worse choice.

So, Michigan’s best Quarterback, Running back, and Cornerback are injured.  Will you need anything else?.

Les Miles is always entertaining, I’ll say that.  I enjoy watching LSU when they’re playing.  I just caught the end of the game the other day.  That loss has got to be painful to the LSU faithful.  I didn’t see the whole game, but I expected LSU to prevail at the end.  Did Les Miles play calling get confused from eating too much turf grass?

I hear you, Sundog.  Miles seemed off his game or something.  But, I haven't seen a more emotional coach than Swinney in a long time... :)

I agree with you about the education part.  Lots of those kids make it to college on their playing ability, struggle to keep grades up, and all the while counting on getting picked by a pro team.  Then they get hurt, or run afoul of the law, or something else happens that prevents them from going pro...they end up with a memory and nothing else...no education, no pro career, no direction,...just kinda lost flippin' burgers at Mickey D's.

I missed the 49er/Lions situation, I watch very little pro sports.  I'll check the video out when I get home...computer here is sloooowwwwwww.

Talking about the kids and their ball playing and educations made me think about the Honey Badger, Tyrran Mathieu, so I checked out his status.  The kid had it all going for him till he made some bad choices.  Seems like maybe he's getting his stuff back together.

The Honey Badger doesn’t have anything on Ohio State’s Star RB Maurice Clarett when it comes to throwing away opportunity.  He was the star RB on OSU National Championship team in 2002.  Pretty much guaranteed 1st round pick in the NFL and 10s of millions IF he would wait for eligibility.  Instead he sued the NFL to let him in as a sophomore.   That didn’t work so he ended up with a million in legal fees.  When he did get to the NFL, he declined a contract with a guaranteed $400K for some ridiculous pie in the sky contract.  Kicked out of Denver when he didn’t produce.

Then he got arrested for armed robbery and went to prison for 4 years.  Nice how armed robbery and driving around with a loaded AK-47 only gets you 4 years.

What kind of job does somebody like this really get?  1 year at OSU and likely didn't learn a thing academically.  When football fails, it seems these kids too often turn to drugs and thuggery.
