I joined the Facebook group.  Each of my bees want their own Facebook page, but I told them that's a lot of work for just a six week account.

we need to bump this once in a while.  i think people don't know about it.
Someone really ought to tell them that the world of Ayn Rand?s novel was not meant to be aspirational.

We're getting very close to one thousand Facebook members - shouldn't be long before we hit that milestone.

It's easy to get 1000 friends (matter of fact I'd say it's harder to keep below a hundred than above 1000 Facebook friends) but 1000 members is a very nice achievement on FB.

I think the best part of FB is how well it integrates with so many apps. People find it much easier to post image, videos and text on FB because they have so many other apps that post on various service at once.

I still find FB to be a confusing mess, and you need to go out of your way to be stealth there. I keep my friends to people I actually know, because a friend of a friends friend is not my friend in the real world, nor should it be on FB. Just my opinion.

The convenience of signing in to other apps or services out-grew its usefulness to me. It got to where I was posting stuff elsewhere and because I was lazy and didn't want to fill out an email address and username, I'd connect using FB and before I knew it, I was dialed in to many other platforms, such as twitter, Klip, Instagram and so many more. The lesson, take the time to create an account, not just expedite signing up using FB unless you don't mind that everything you do is blasted over a hundred different services.

Lastly, you forget quickly if you use AD-BLOCK PLUS what content you would see without the blocking tool. Just for the heck of it, turn off Ad-Block some time and see the bombardment of crap you'd get if you didn't use it. Scary stuff.

Amazing to see over 1300 members now - 300 since late may alone. Keep on truckin' folks, I know that for smart phone users it is often much easier to upload and communicate with Facebook and our group is amazingly active there.

I'd join.. but Facebook decided I wasnt a real person...  they requested a copy of my drivers license and my SS# among other things to prove I am a real person........ Uhhh.. NO!!!  Not going to happen...
When my son was over in Afganistan they blocked me about six times trying to message him...  Youd think when one of our family members was over fighting for US that they would be MORE considerate.. Instead, i was treated like a terrorist.. so... no more facebook for this old guy...

You sure you went to the right site OldMech? I have never  heard of those requests before on a facebook account. Sounds like you were getting a redirect.
